Better Place, the global provider of electric vehicle networks and services, has recently opened a state-of-the-art electric vehicle demonstration center in Israel.
Israel will be the first geographical market for the vehicle’s full commercial deployment. This can, perhaps, be attributed to the fact that Israel is not as well endowed in natural resources as many other developed countries, and has continually resorted to innovative ways of sustaining their way of life in such an environment.
Israel has become one of the world’s centers for innovation, and Tel Aviv has often been touted as the Silicon Valley of the Middle East.
The electric vehicle demonstration center was created and designed to answer the questions of both supporters and critics of the company’s plan to break through what they call “…some of the most entrenched industries in the world,” doubtlessly referring to the energy and automotive industries.
More than just an impressive showroom, the Better Place center will give visitors the chance to learn about the benefits of the featured vehicles through interactive media, and the opportunity to test drive the electric vehicles on a dedicated track. Guests can also participate in Q&A sessions with the company’s staff.
As a startup company that was founded merely three years ago, Better Place really needed something to thoroughly impress the public and prove that they could single-handedly shake up the energy and automotive industries. This demo center is their solution.
As one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world, ranking fourth in the realm of scientific activities, Israel serves as an excellent platform to launch new technologies under the world’s watchful eye. While Israel was once best known for military, agricultural and green technology, the country’s repertoire has grown considerably, showcasing its people’s talents and drive for innovation.
